A flat matte finish, with ten years of protection underneath it.

DEFENDER Matte takes gloss paint to a flat, non-reflective matte and protects it with the same 200-micron self-healing TPU construction as the rest of the DEFENDER range.

Matte is the more assertive of the two finish films — where DEFENDER Satin keeps a soft sheen, Matte removes reflection almost entirely, so body lines read as shape rather than as highlights. On dark colours in particular the effect is dramatic.

Matte paint is normally a maintenance problem: it cannot be polished, and conventional waxes ruin it. A matte PPF inverts that. The film takes the damage instead of the paint, the top coat is hydrophobic so it cleans with water and mild soap, and light scratches self-heal with heat rather than becoming permanent shiny patches.

A note for the installer: matte film shows fingerprints and handling marks more readily than gloss during installation, and errors cannot be polished out afterwards. Clean gloves, clean hands.
